The 3.0.0 update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate goes live today and perhaps the biggest addition that most fans are looking forward to is the arrival of Persona’s Joker as an in-game fighter. In addition to the newest character to join the roster, the fighting game is also adding a couple of new features in that players will enjoy, including stage building.

The full patch notes themselves aren’t available yet for version 3.0 but Nintendo did offer some insight into what players can expect including the stage building, Smash World, and a shiny new video editor.

The video editor is a perfect addition for players interested in capturing their content and making it even better. This will allow players to put together tailored video content from their save files while adding fun new features such as sound effects while also including accessibility options like subtitles.

The stage building is exactly what it sounds like, giving Smash fans a way to build their own fighting stages to up the challenge and put their own personal spin on in-game content.

Smash World is also the latest to be added to the fighting game, allowing players to take their newly edited videos and creative stages to be seen and downloaded by other players in the Super Smash Bros. community.

The latest update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate debuts today and all of the wonderful features can be seen in the video from Nintendo at the top of the article. As for the game itself, Ultimate is now available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
