New Fortnite Season 9 Teaser Image Revealed

Put together, here is what the three teaser images make up so far before the big event.

We are one day away from the Fortnite season 9 grand debut and just like previous seasons, Epic Games is going all on the teasers. The third, and latest, teaser to arrive sort of sticks with the science fiction theme, though brings back the DJ we all know and love. That, and the letters combined seem to be spelling out N-E-O-N, though the final letter hasn’t been revealed yet.

First, the teaser:

Captioned with “the future is Tilted,” the latest teaser is one more puzzle piece before the big reveal. Considering the total destruction that happened at Tilted Towers, it’s an interesting title choice that gives us a huge indicator that Tilted will be back and possibly better than ever.

Now all pieced together so far:

While we though NEON because of the associating colour scheme, many players responded to the tweet joking that it means “NERF,” especially on the heels of the Drum Gun’s return. Mostly, though, many are just hoping for the return of Tilted Towers.

For those that missed it, there was an event earlier this week that brought back a few highly missed items while also completely obliterated Tilted Towers. The entire experience was very science fiction, which makes what’s next even more exciting. With the three teases now released before the new season kicks off, it will be interesting to see where Fortnite goes from here.

The Fortnite community has had crazy space cubes named Kevin, interdimensional portals, even vikings! Where Epic Games decides to go from here is anyone’s guess, but you’ve got to admit – it’s all very impressive considering Fortnite is technically still an Early Access game.

As for the game itself, Fortnite season 9 begins on May 9th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices. Thoughts and theories on what the new season will have to offer? Hit us up over on Twitter @PrimaGames with your predictions, hopes, and dreams.
