New Call of Duty Modern Warfare Multiplayer Trailer Shows Off What’s Returning and What’s Brand New

The new Call of Duty Modern Warfare multiplayer trailer sees a lot of returning favorites but also a lot of exciting new additions.

A new Call of Duty Modern Warfare multiplayer trailer has arrived after weeks of teasers and sneak peeks. While we’ve had small looks at the single-player portion of the soft reboot, today’s first look is all about matching up with others and showing off those mad skills. From the return of the Juggernaut, to familiar and brand new killstreaks – even incredible new modes like Cyber Attack and Gunfight – there’s a lot to be excited for with the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare multiplayer trailer. That, and the addition of Metallica helps a lot.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare is meant to be the ultimate multiplayer playground, something that is fun and replayable but also incredibly realistic and challenging. From major ADS changes, to a much heavier combat experience – something we ourselves experience at a private press event earlier this week – this isn’t your usual Call of Duty experience and it’s one that I think will personally challenge the way people view this franchise in the future.

The World Design as a whole saw a complete resurrection, especially seen in the Night Maps seen in the trailer above. Every part of certain maps has been thrust into the dark of night leaving players only with their tactical knowhow and a swanky pair of night goggles to aid them. One thing to know is DON’T SIGHT. If you do, a laser indicates your position, something enemy players will pounce on the first chance they get.

The intense 2v2 Gunfight mode is also incredibly challenging, and something that Infinity Ward has touched on in the past. The best-in-case down the barrel gameplay aims to be exactly what FPS fans are craving whether they are familiar with the Call of Duty franchise or not.

Ready to check it out for yourself? The revamped Call of Duty Modern Warfare multiplayer experience (and singleplayer as well) begins on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 25th.
