Earlier this month we shared a report that there are four new Call of Duty games in the works for 2020 and 2021, among them being the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered edition. Following that report, a Korean Ratings Board also leaked the presence of this remastered experience. Now it looks like we could be edging closer to a reveal because the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered campaign art has been leaked.
A new in-game file has been uncovered over on the Modern Warfare reddit subthread and with it is a glimpse at art from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered campaign:
The Modern Warfare 2 remastered leak is nothing new, numerous leaks and even conversations from the devs themselves have suggested that this is on the way. That and the community has been wildly vocal about wanted to see this particular entry remastered. That, and the ESRB accidentally leaked it as well, so at this point, we’re just waiting on official confirmation from the team. Given that so many gamers are currently in quarantine, a little good news about the Modern Warfare franchise would be massively appreciated right about now.
As with all leaks that we report, take everything seen above with a grain of salt. No matter how much evidence something has or how many leaks support it, always wait until there is official confirmation from the studio itself before taking something like this at face value. Hopefully, that confirmation will be soon.
Are you excited for a potential Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered experience, or would you rather the team focus on something new entirely? What if it was similar to how the original Modern Warfare was rebooted, would that be enough to get you interested? Sound off with your thoughts over on Twitter @PrimaGames!
