Netflix’s The Witcher season 2 was put on pause when the pandemic COVID-19 caused a mass shutdown felt around the world. While COVID is still rampant, many areas are easing up on the quarantine and travel restrictions, which means business is beginning to return to the usual. Included in that is Netflix’s The Witcher season 2, which is ready to restart its production here soon as confirmed by Netflix.
The official The Witcher Twitter page took to the social media platform with a dandy tune and a set release date for the cast to be reunited. Strap in on your Roach, kids, because the cast is getting back together to wrap up the season beginning on August 17th.
I’m dusting off my lute and quill,
I have some news, some mead to spill:
After all the months we’ve been apart
It’s time for production to restart.

Showrunner Lauren Hissrich also shared a small insight into her preparation to diving back into work with an adorable picture of her and her son reading together:

With so much to cover with the source material, we’re excited to see what season 2 will have to offer following the massive success its debut season saw. It will be interesting to see how the crew gets back together and if this time in isolation had any creative impact on how the next season will pan out.
