Netflix Shares New Images From Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness

The show’s CG animation looks top notch.

Back in September, the first trailer for Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness was shared. It offered a brief glimpse at what characters Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy would look like, and gave viewers an idea as to how the CG animation will be presented in the series.

Now, Netflix has shared two brand new images from Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness that further emphasize just how impressive the adaptation’s CG animation is going to be.

Netflix Shares New Images From Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is an upcoming CG animated adaptation coming to Netflix in 2021. As of right now, there’s a lot we don’t know about the show including what the main plot will be.

That said, we do know that it’s being supervised and produced by Capcom’s Hiroyuki Kobayashi so it shouldn’t stray too far from the lore of the game series even if the story itself is new.

In the description for the trailer, all we’re given in terms of information is:

“Based on the Capcom video game franchise, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is a horror series with a sci-fi twist. Coming 2021 only on Netflix.”

Nothing has been shared about the show’s plot outside of the fact that Claire and Leon are the main characters.

We know more about the CG animation shown in the trailer, which was impressive but it was also short and avoided giving too much away.

Now, Netflix is throwing us some new content in the form of crystal clear screenshots of Claire and Leon that reflect how they’ll look in Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness and we have to say, they look absolutely amazing.

When you hear about a video game adaptation, there’s always concern in regards to how much effort is being put into it and whether the final product will actually be good.

Looking at these screenshots, we can say at the very least that a considerable amount of time and effort is being put into the production of the show and making it look as good as possible.

Accompanying the images was the statement, “When biohazards run wild, only a pair of veteran zombie slayers can get the job done. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is a new original series set in the canon of @CapcomUSA’s classic survival horror franchise @RE_Games, coming next year.”

Again, that doesn’t give us a lot to go on but that’s alright. The images have left us excited to see more of the show in 2021. It seems like it’s well worth waiting for.
