Today, Electronic Arts has announced the release of three new expansions for the open-world racing game, which are available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network.  You can pick up all three of these for $24.99 (2000 Microsoft points), or buy them separately depending on their price tags.

The first, Terminal Velocity ($14.99, 1200 Microsoft points) features an all-new level, Fairhaven International Airport, with dozens of new challenges and plenty of launchers for high-flying stunts.  You’ll also gain access to a new “nitrous jump” mod, if you’re into that sort of thing.

The other two expansions ($9.99, 800 Microsoft points each) introduce several new cars to the fray.  The Speed Movie Legends introduces various iconic cars, such as the Aston Martin models from James Bond, the Pontiac Firebird from Smokey and the Bandit, Vin Diesel’s Dodge Charger R/T 1970 (from The Fast and the Furious) and Gone In 60 Seconds’ powerhouse Shelby GT500.

Finally, a classic line of Need For Speed cars is available, through the Heroes pack, which includes the Lamborghini Diablo SV, the Nissan Skyline GT-R, the Nissan 350Z, the Porsche 911 GT2, and the BMW M3 GTR.

Looks like it’s time to hit the road again, eh?
