Renegade Kid has been doing some great stuff with its game Mutant Mudds. First it released it on the 3DS eShop, where it became an instant best seller. Then it dominated the mobile market with a $.99 release on iOS devices. Now it’s finally making its way to the Wii U.
Renegade Kid co-founder Joois Watsham announced today that Mutant Mudds Deluxe will be arriving on the Wii U eShop on June 13th. The game will introduce high-definition graphics to the franchise for the first time, as well as 20 new ghost levels with new enemies and hazards and a ghost shot power-up to take them down with. You’ll also be able to play as Grannie, the grandmother of the main character Max.
“Having the opportunity to bring Mutant Mudds to Wii U is very special to us,” said Watsham in a press release. “I am particularly excited about the new ghost levels we added, which offer a new gameplay experience thanks to the mischievous ghost mudds who cannot be shot with Max’s regular water cannon!”
