Monster Hunter: World launched at the end of last week, and over the past couple of days the game’s popularity has skyrocketed, reaching upwards of 5 million units shipped. To celebrate this major milestone in the Monster Hunter series, Capcom is going to give all of the current players enjoying Monster Hunter: World a free commemorative gift to show their appreciation.

The news of the gift comes from the Monster Hunter twitter account, which released the following tweet earlier today:

It’s unclear exactly what is in the Celebration Item Pack right now but based on the image that the Twitter account released, it stands to reason that Monster Hunter: World players will get their hands on a healing potion of some sort, some sacs that will come in handy, and a Glittering Steel Egg.

The Celebration Item Pack will roll-out in waves across both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game, so some players will start to receive it before others. Stay patient and continue to keep an eye on your notifications to see when it becomes available for you to grab. The commemorative item pack can also only be claimed once per account, so keep that in mind if you’re playing around with multiple characters in the game.

It’s quite a milestone that Monster Hunter: World was able to ship over 5 million units in just three short days since release, and it really showcases just how strong the game’s community is, and how much they stand behind the series as a whole. We’ve covered Monster Hunter: World quite a bit here on the site, so make sure you check out our Monster Hunter: World guide if you need any help with the game at all.
