With Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate just weeks away from a release here in the United States, there are an abundance of fans who can’t wait to get back into the hunt. However, some of them are rather sore from Capcom’s decision to block cross-region gameplay, meaning that they can’t hunt with their friends from all over the world.
Not to worry. Capcom has heard the cries from the numerous complaints flooding its official forums, and it’s making amends. The company has announced that an update for the game will be coming this April, one that will allow players to form parties with one another from all over the world. Yep, cross-region gameplay is back on, and that’s a reason to celebrate.
In addition, the Wii U version of the game currently doesn’t have off-TV play, meaning you can’t keep going on your GamePad while the TV is in use. But the update will address that as well, enabling players to switch back and forth between displays with ease.
It would’ve been nice to see these features added to the final game, but, hey, better late than never, right?
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be available for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS on March 19th.
