Earlier today, Microsoft’s live game streaming service Mixer launched a brand new HypeZone channel for Fortnite. The first Mixer HypeZone channel debuted in December with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, reaching over a million views in just a couple months. The Mixer team has since followed up with a new HypeZone channel dedicated to Fortnite Battle Royale, which went live earlier today.
HypeZones are dedicated channels on Mixer that feature intense live gameplay moments from various streamers. The HypeZone Fortnite channel automatically swaps between Fortnite Battle Royale streamers on Mixer who are close to winning Victory Royale. Streamers hosted on HypeZone are within the final 10 players in their match and are often moments away from victory or defeat. As soon as the streamer wins or dies, HypeZone will instantly find a new streamer to host.
HypeZone Fortnite allows streamers to reach a broader audience while also allowing viewers to instantly find new live streams hosting the most down-to-the-wire Fortnite matches. Streamers who are featured on HypeZone Fortnite will garner a boost in viewership and accrue all the views associated with being hosted.
HypeZone Fortnite is live 24/7 on Mixer for Battle Royale fans who want instant access to the most intense Fortnite matches. For more details, head over to the Mixer blog.
