It has expressed interest in producing a big-screen adaptation of Markus “Notch” Persson’s hit franchise, according to Deadline. The Lego Movie’s producer, Roy Lee, is already involved with the project

Regarding the film project, Persson stated, “I’ve personally mostly stayed out of it, but I do know we’ve been talking to WB about making a movie. Negotiations have been going on for a while, but I have no idea what the status of those negotiations are, or how likely the movie is to happen.”

Considering the game just registered 100 million users through the original PC version – and that’s not even including the success of the console editions – there will be a lot of folks who wouldn’t mind seeing the flick. Just make sure it has a spaceship somewhere, please. Because SPACESHIP!
