Minecraft Cereal Debuting Later This Summer With DLC

Get your noms on before you get your game on with the new Minecraft cereal and DLC.

Minecraft players are more than familiar with Creepers, the all too creepy green baddies that really love blowing up when you get too near to them. While they are not the most vicious of foes, they are certainly the ones people are most familiar with. That said, it will soon be time to really stick it to them by eating them as an official Minecraft cereal has been revealed and it will include some nifty DLC.

Kellogg’s Minecraft Creeper Crunch Cereal has been shown off to the world and fans won’t have to wait terribly long to get their hands on it. Set to arrive later this summer, the cereal is of the cinnamon-flavored variety and will contain small green squares that are the Creeper Bits, which happen to just be marshmallows because it would probably be a bit odd if they were anything else. Of course, cereal won’t be the only thing inside the box as each package will include a code that fans can use to obtain one of 10 cosmetic items in Minecraft.

“Kellogg’s Minecraft Creeper Crunch Cereal extends a delicious experience beyond the breakfast table,” reads the official description from Kellogg’s. “Inside every box is a code that unlocks one of ten in-game clothing items, allowing Minecraft’s users to customize their characters head-to-toe with cloaks, jackets and more! Typically only available through purchase, these clothing items offer players a fun way to personalize their characters’ unique style in-game – exciting for any gamer!”

This, of course, is not the first time that video games have crossed over into the realm of cereal. We’ve seen edible breakfast foods that were themed after the likes of Mario, Sonic, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, and much more. There was even a Neopets cereal once upon a time. As for the Minecraft cereal, that is set to arrive at some point this August.

When it comes to the actual Minecraft game itself, the highly anticipated Nether update has officially been released and brought a ton of goodies along with it. From Piglins, Hoglins, Netherite, and more to ruined portals and Striders, there is a plethora of content for players to enjoy. You can check out everything the Nether update has to offer, including the patch notes, right here. For even more Minecraft goodness, be sure to check out our game hub.
