Minecraft is a game that is still celebrated even after its launch 10 years ago for the amazing creativity it inspires in its player base and its wide-range of enjoyment that it offers for gamers of all ages. To celebrate the blocky game’s anniversary this Friday, Microsoft and Mojang are combining their love for the game to create an event for all to enjoy: A new free map that includes features such as a theme park and an interactive museum.
The new map courtesy of BlockWorks offers a brand new experience for players loyal to the building game. But it’s not just theme parks and museums players can enjoy! There are tons of Easter eggs littered throughout the map as well, all for free!
In addition to the new anniversary event, Mojang is preparing for a big reveal on May 17th with tons of surprises in store for Minecraft players. Until that happens though, we’ve got the interactive new additions to enjoy! You can learn more, including how to download the new map, right here.
With the previously added “Build It Together” update, it’s even easier to create entire worlds. Excited to squad up with friends and family? Here’s what you can experience together with this expansive update before you jump right into theme park goodness:
“Explore randomly generated worlds and build amazing things from the simplest of homes to the grandest of castles. Play in creative mode with unlimited resources or mine deep into the world in survival mode, crafting weapons and armor to fend off the dangerous mobs.”
