There are millions of Minecraft fans throughout the world, so it would make sense to have a convention where they can gather and talk about their love for the game. With that, Mojang has announced that this year’s Minecon event will take place in Orlando on November 2nd and 3rd.

The announcement was made this morning through a video posted to the official Mojang account, where company rep Patrick Geuder and the creator of Minecraft himself, Markus “Notch” Persson, confirmed the dates. Warning: there is globe violence in the video – a globe actually gets smashed to pieces.
Hotel rooms and tickets for the event will go on sale next month, and more details will be announced shortly.
