Microsoft has always been devoted to its Xbox Live subscribers, offering up new services and weekly game deals to keep them around. But it wasn’t always this way. Back in the old days of the Xbox, it was simply a place to log into and play games – and folks were happy with it.
Those of you who stuck around the full ten years – like we did – will be pleased to know that your efforts are being rewarded. Microsoft is sending out limited edition Xbox 360 consoles, like the one pictured below, along with a 12-month subscription to Xbox Live. Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb confirmed the shipment of said systems, and will be offering one as a giveaway item through his Twitter this week as well.
It looks pretty cool, and comes with a 250 GB hard drive to boot. We’re not sure where we’d put it, as the Star Wars console is currently taking up residency but, like Jell-O, there’s always room for one more…
If we get one of these systems – which we hopefully will, since we’re devoted and such – we’ll provide a report later on, complete with pics!
