LittleBigPlanet Getting Special Edition Tron Pack Tomorrow On PSN

Tron hits the LittleBigPlanet mainframe.

Every month, Media Molecule always seems to have a new surprise pop up for LittleBigPlanet 2, even if it’s something as simple as a character pack.  Well, we’ve got another one, but it’s definitely not your typical offering.

Based on the hit 2010 sequel Tron Legacy, the latest pack for LittleBigPlanet 2 features characters inspired by the film.  You’ll be able to snag character models based on Clu (complete with helmet), Quorra and Gem, along with stickers that resemble both the flying Tron vehicles and the throwing discs that are used as weapons.

This should open up some interesting new opportunities for Tron fans that play LBP 2, even though there isn’t sort of level pack planned.  How cool would be that, though?  You could play through neon-lit worlds that you design, or maybe even pop a wheelie on a motorcycle.  Hopefully Media Molecule will think about it in the months ahead.

For now, though, you can pick up the Tron character pack starting tomorrow for $6.99.  The characters should also be available for purchase individually, if you feel like Gem’s stack-up hairdo is a little too freaky for its own good.  Aw, c’mon, it’s a nifty outfit!
