Valve are set to release a demo for Left 4 Dead “shortly before release”, which is penned in to be 20th November.

The demo will “most likely be the first two maps of the hospital campaign”, Valve’s Chet Falisek told De-Frag.
The levels playable on the demo are set outdoors in a number of streets and a subway station.
Left 4 Dead is a co-op shooter that allows players to team up in groups of up to 4, either as survivors, or, for a bit of extra fun, Infected, who are pretty much zombies (albeit with a virus rather than a curse, for extra realism, apparently).
