It looks like the upcoming PlayStation State of Play could finally be giving us our Last of Us Part II release date – at least if you’re like us and are reading way too much into the latest teaser shared by the official Naughty Dog Twitter account.
The studio behind the beloved zombie title took to Twitter to share an animated graphic with the date of the upcoming State of Play set for September 24th. When Sony first announced the event, PlayStation players were immediately in the comment section hoping for a Last of Us Part II release date reveal, and it looks like that might be coming true.

From an earlier leak last month, it looks like next week’s State of Play could also be offering a Death Stranding launch trailer, new Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order footage. That same leak also mentioned that the launch window for Last of Us Part II would be for May 2020, so hopefully that information is correct so we can get confirmation next weekend.
The latest PlayStation State of Play will be going live at 1 PM PT on Tuesday, September 24th. Fans can watch what Sony has up their sleeve over on Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter – as usual – live when the show kicks off.
For more about the game according to the game’s official synopsis ahead of next week’s reveal, “Ellie is now 19 and has found a semblance of peace and normality living in Jackson. She’s had a chance to be a teenager and forge lasting relationships. When that peace is disrupted by a violent act, Ellie is thrust into a brutal journey of retribution, fueled by a need to bring those that have wronged her to justice, pushing her to her very limits.”
