PlayStation ended its State of Play presentation today with a bombshell: The Last of Us Part II is coming on February 21st, 2020. Along with that announcement came the reveal of multiple collector’s edition offerings over on the PlayStation Blog, and we’re having a hard time not throwing our wallets at our computer screen.
First up is the Special Edition, retailing for $79.99 and including the full game in a custom steelbook case and a 48-page art book with art from the game provided by Dark Horse Comics. This version will also include digital content, which the PS Blog describes as a “PS4 dynamic theme, a set of six PSN avatars, a digital soundtrack, and a digital version of the mini art book.”.
Next up is the Collector’s Edition, which will cost $159.99 and includes everything from the Special Edition as well as the following:

Life-sized replica of Ellie’s bracelet

Set of six enamel pins and five stickers

Lithograph art print

The final physical edition is the $249.99 Ellie Edition for the most hardcore of The Last of Us fans, and that will include everything found in the Special and Collector’s Edition, while also adding:

“Full-sized, fully functional recreation” of Ellie’s backpack

Embroidered patch
-
7” vinyl record featuring music from the original soundtrack.
Those who prefer to purchase digitally will not be left out, as the Digital Deluxe Edition will include all of the digital content found in the Special Edition as well as the Standard version of the game. All pre-orders of the Digital Standard or Digital Deluxe editions of the game will also come with an extra PSN avatar of Ellie’s tattoo, while all pre-orders physical or digital will also come with a free ammo capacity upgrade for Ellie’s pistol and a Crafting Training Manual for instant access to crafting recipes.
All of these versions will be available with The Last of Us Part II launches February 21, 2020 exclusively on PlayStation 4.
