Kinect Dashboard App Rewards Players For Keeping Fit

Today sees the launch of Kinect PlayFit, a dashboard app that works with Kinect games to track player calorie burning.

Playfit was announced today by Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb at Major Nelson Dot Com. It’ll track your movements in games such as Dance Central 2, Your Shape 2-12 and Kinect Star Wars in order to work out how many calories you’re burning.

After players reach specific goals the app rewards them with avatar items and Achievements. There’s also a feature that lets you compare your calorie-burning with that of your friends.
