KeyWe Coming to Nintendo Switch This August

Use your butt and your beak for good, not evil.

KeyWe is a charming as heck co-op indie game featuring two itty bitty kiwi birds named Jeff and Debra. Previously, the game had been announced for Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC (via Steam).

During today’s Indie World Showcase, it was revealed that KeyWe will also be hopping its way onto the Nintendo Switch this August. A look at a Nintendo-exclusive outfit was also revealed!

KeyWe Coming to Nintendo Switch This August

Have you ever wanted to be a kiwi bird? What about someone who handles the mail? Well, you can ‘kiwi’ two birds with one stone – that was terrible, we apologize – with KeyWe, a game where you get to play as two kiwi birds named Jeff and Debra.

As Jeff and Debra, you’ll have to work together to get messages sent out of a busy, chaotic mailroom in a timely manner. Kiwi birds don’t have hands, so working in the mailroom will require extra creativity and serious butt power.

Yes, you can use your butt to do things like press down on buttons and levers. Don’t believe us? Here’s an excerpt from the game’s description:

“From publisher Sold Out and developer Stonewheat & Sons, KeyWe is a chaotic postal puzzler starring Jeff and Debra, two small kiwi birds working in a fun and frantic mailroom.

With no hands to help them, they must jump, flap, peck and butt-slam their way across an interactive landscape of levers, bells and buttons to get those messages delivered on time.”

The mailroom in KeyWe is far from ordinary, featuring seasonal hazards and wacky setups. If you need help, KeyWe offers both co-op, both couch and online. Or if you’d rather play alone, KeyWe has a single-player option where you can control both kiwi birds with a single controller.

Having a hard time telling the two identical kiwi birds apart? There are outfits and accessories you can unlock for them that’ll allow you to dress them up in things like hats and sunglasses.

As an incentive to grab KeyWe on the Nintendo Switch, there will be a Nintendo-exclusive outfit available (seen below).

The Nintendo-exclusive outfits for Jeff and Debra give them purple and yellow knight attire complete with helmets and shields. As noted above, KeyWe is coming out this August.

It’ll be available on Nintendo Switch along with Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. While you wait, we recommend adding KeyWe to your Steam Wishlist.

You can also follow the game on Twitter, join the Discord, and visit the game’s official website for more information.
