The Indie Xbox Showcase Showed Off Some Real Bangers

Lightyear Frontier

Lightyear Frontier is a cooperative mecha farming simulator that tasked up to four players to thrive in their new environment. We didn’t get much about the game outside of a brief trailer, but you can learn more about the game on its website here. This game is being developed by FramBreak Games. We’re excited to see more from these giant mechs, and maybe even romance them if it’s possible.

The Wandering Village

The Wandering Village is a game about living life and building a town on the back of a monstrous creature that is traversing across the world. It’s cute and teases an underlying sadness in the most recent trrailer. No release date is currently announced for the game.

RPG Time: The Legend of Wright

RPG Time was first unveiled in 2019 and hasn’t been seen since. During the showcase, we got a new trailer for the game that mixed a lot of the old trailer with some new gameplay snippets. It’s hard to parse what exactly is going on in this game because every frame is entirely different from the last. The hand-drawn and hand-crafted aesthetic scream creativity. The game is coming this Winter.

Olli Olli World

Olli Olli World is coming this winter and features a ton of shredding sick skate lines. Its beautiful color palette and world are an excellent backdrop for doing awesome tricks and flips at high speed. The trailer also showcased the character creator for the very first time. The series has never had custom characters before.

Inked: A Tale of Love

Inked is a brand-new game announcement from Somnium Studios. It’s a narrative-driven puzzle game set in a ballpoint pen-styled world. The juxtaposition between the hand-drawn aesthetic and the beautiful watercolor style of the backgrounds make this a visual style you won’t forget any time soon. The game is coming to Xbox on August 27.

Pupperazzi

Pupperazzi is a game all about taking pictures of very good doggos. From different environments like the pier, the skatepark, the beach, and more, it’s all about getting the best shots of these cute pals. The game still does not have a release date but is coming to Xbox Game Pass.

 Library of Ruinia

Library of Ruinia is currently in Early Access on PC and is being developed by Project Moon. Here’s the official description Library of Ruina is a game that uses the concept of a “Library Battle Simulation”.

“You will invite guests to the Library and engage in combat with them to gain ‘Books’ with their stories. Battles are played with the ‘Librarians’ and the ‘Guests’ using cards and dice. You can plan against the guests’ moves by looking at the cards they will use and select the most optimal card to oppose them.”

It’s coming to Xbox Game Pass today!

There were plenty of other great games in the showcase as well as a bunch coming to Xbox Game Pass. You can check out the entire stream below and for more news and information on games be sure to check out the official Prima Games Twitter and Facebook pages.
