If you had trouble pre-ordering a PS5 and like the idea of getting one for free (technically speaking) there’s a sweepstakes at Burger King that runs from October 15 until November 22 that may be worth checking out.
Entering the sweepstakes is relatively affordable at $5 (USD) per game token, and Burger King is giving away 1,000 PS5 consoles rather than a small handful which helps increase your odds.
All it comes down to is whether you’re willing to pay a visit to your local Burger King.
If You Need a PS5, Burger King’s Sweepstakes Has You Covered
Looking to get your hands on a PS5? Don’t want to spend several hundred dollars to get one? Well, you’re in luck. If you sell your soul to Burger King for $5 you can get a game token and enter to win one of 1,000 PS5 consoles.
We’re just kidding around. You don’t actually have to sell your soul, but you do have to spend $5 at Burger King and you do need to either download the Burger King App on your phone or register an account on BK.com.
If you choose to register on BK.com you’ll be asked to provide an email address, your name, and your date of birth. Note that you’ll need to verify the email address you provide, so be sure to give them one you’re able to verify.
After that, you can enter the game token(s) you’ve already acquired, or you can get yourself a game token in one of three ways.
“1. Make a minimum $5 pre-tax Qualifying Purchase on BK App or BK.com and you will automatically earn a game token, which can be used to immediately play the game.
2. Make a minimum $5 pre-tax Qualifying Purchase at participating Burger King restaurant and input receipt information (Order Number, Restaurant Number, Time of Purchase, and Purchase Amount) on BK App or BK.com to earn a game token, which can be used to immediately play the game.
3. Mail in Method: To participate without purchase, handprint your full name, full mailing address, email address, phone number, birth month and birth year) on a plain 3×5 inch sheet of paper. One entry per person per day, based on postmark date. Mail your completed entry to Realtime Media, Attn: Sony Scratch to Win, 200 Four Falls Corporate Center, Suite 130, Conshohocken, PA 19428. You can only earn one game token per day, and it’s recommended that you enter that token the day you receive it. Burger King’s rules specify, “Limit 1 token per day per person/account, regardless of number of purchases.”
The sweepstakes begins on October 15 at 9:00 a.m. (ET) and ends on November 22 at 11:59 p.m. (ET) to earn game tokens. If you visit a Burger King restaurant in person (includes drive-thru) you’ll need to save your receipt as the information will be needed to earn your token.
If you buy your food from the Burger King app or online, you’ll earn your token automatically. Ordering online can be particularly convenient as you can select the delivery option and have your food brought directly to you.
Whenever we order our depression meals we tend to do this so no one has to see us scurry out of our house looking all sad. The way you purchase your food from Burger King is entirely up to you though.
Along with the chance to win yourself a PS5, there are other prizes that Burger King is giving away which we’ve listed below.

If you get a BK Coupon it’ll show up in the Offers section of your Burger King App. If you win a PS5, you’ll receive an email notifying you that you’re a winner.
At that point, you’ll need to fill out a form and provide your shipping info to get the PS5 sent to you. Burger King says you can win multiple prizes meaning you can win a PS5 and some fries, or a PS5 and a copy of Demon’s Souls.
