Haruka Won’t be Fighting in Yakuza 5

Though she will “battle”

You’ll be able to play as Kazuma Kiryu’s daughter Haruka in Yakuza 5, but it’s not going to be possible to fight with her.

Haruka isn’t going to be battling street thugs, series producer Toshihiro Nagoshi told Dengeki PlayStation (thanks Andriasang). There will be some kind of battle that involves her but it’s not full on combat. Yakuza 5 pits Haruka as an aspiring pop star, could we be seeing dance-offs?

Nagoshi has explained that there’s apparently twice the amount of content seen in Yakuza 4.

The title is apparently 70% complete, comes out in December exclusively on PlayStation 3 and will most likely be coming to the West a year or so later (that last bit was pure speculation).
