Capcom have been heavily implying that they’ll be releasing a Resident Evil game for the Wii.
At a Canadian press-conference Resi marketing man Matt Dahlgren hinted on the issue stating “[Resident Evil 5] was made for the Xbox 360 and PS3. That being said, Nintendo Wii fans will be very happy very soon.”
In other Resident Evil-related news today, the Capcom-Unity blog (reported by VG247) said the company will be giving “new game announcements” at their San Francisco launch party come 12th March.
Capcom have stated in the past that they’d enjoy returning to the Wii seems as their last two releases, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles did so well on the platform.
When speaking in a video interview to Eurogamer, producer Masachika Kawata said “Personally I would like to create something on Wii in the Resident Evil family. At the moment we don’t know and have just been working on Resident Evil 5, so watch this space.”
