Gears 5 Welcomes Dave Bautista As A Playable Character In New Video

The Guardians of the Galaxy star will soon be destroying enemies in Gears of War 5.

Dave Bautista is known for his high-profile professional wrestling career and role as Drax in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, the famous figure will be adding another major accomplishment on his resume, as Dave Bautista will soon be a playable character in the upcoming title of Gears of War 5.

Taking to his official Twitter account on Tuesday, September 3rd, Dave Bautista posted a video confirming that he will indeed be a playable character in Gears of War 5 starting on September 15th following the conclusion of the WWE Clash of Champions event. 

Bautista has long advocated playing the role of Marcus Fenix in a Gears of War movie. Unfortunately, there has been no official dealings to push a Gears of War movie into production. However, Dave Bautista will now have the opportunity to be in the newest entry in the legendary video game franchise.

The star is not the only well-known face which will be appearing in Gears of War 5 as a playable character. Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor from the new Terminator: Dark Fate movie and two spartans from the fan-favorite game of Halo: Reach will also be playable figures in the new title.
