Last week, Nintendo announced a collaboration with Sega that would bring Sonic the Hedgehog to the Wii U and 3Ds for three exclusive game projects, including a new platforming adventure called Sonic: Lost World.  Today Sega provided a first look at the forthcoming game via IGN, which is likely to take center stage at the company’s E3 booth in just a couple of weeks.

In the trailer we get an idea of what kind of gameplay will be included, including classic hop-n-bop action as Sonic is known for, along with plenty of ring collecting.  It looks like he has new abilities as well, including the ability to run along walls, just in case he runs out of floor.

Most importantly, the Lost World trailer showcases the new enemies Sonic will be facing in the game: a group of monsters known as the Deadly Six.  Each one looks as if they bring their own level of ferocity to the table, though we have yet to see them in action.

Sonic: Lost World will release this fall for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
