Dead by Daylight is a museum of horror, showcasing some of the most iconic heroes and killers to ever step onto the big screen. And one of the biggest household names of Hollywood is joining in the hellish fray. Nicolas Cage himself is coming to Dead by Daylight as a survivor. But not in any of his iconic roles.
Instead, you’ll get to play as the legend himself.
From Hollywood to Hellscape: Nicolas Cage is Dead by Daylight’s Newest Survivor
That’s right. On June 5, 2023, expect the Fog to be absolutely full of Nicolas Cage. And I think it’s safe to say that every toxic Survive With Friends squad will run four stacks of this Hollywood legend. It’s what Nicolas Cage would want.
While this might seem out of left field, developers stated in a press interview that they’d been contemplating a celebrity survivor for years. They even approached Tony Hawk, but circumstances prevented that partnership from moving forward. Which is a shame. I would have loved to see survivors smith grind across a palette.
Levity has also been something that occasionally sweeps its way into Dead by Daylight. Hooked on You, the Dead by Daylight dating sim, which lets you date the killers, is the best evidence of that. And if you’re curious if we’re ever going to get a sequel to that, it looks like the answer is “maybe” but nowhere close to the top of the priority list.

Nicolas Cage might be the biggest addition to Dead by Daylight, but it’s possible we’ll see him out of the game, too. A Dead by Daylight movie is in the works with Blumhouse and Atomic Monster, and who better to star in it than the legend himself?
