Firewatch to Pitch Camp on Nintendo Switch This Spring

Revisit the Wyoming wilderness with Firewatch on Nintendo Switch.

Independent development studio Campo Santo recently announced that their hit mystery adventure game, Firewatch, will be coming to Nintendo Switch this Spring. Campo Santo didn’t give a specific release date, but since Spring is nearly over, Firewatch’s Switch debut may be just around the corner.

Originally released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2016, Firewatch is a first-person narrative adventure set in the Wyoming wilderness in 1989. Players take on the role of Henry, a new firewatch recruit who left his past behind him to become a fire lookout in the Shoshone National Forest.

During his first days on the job, Henry encounters some strange occurrences in the forest, which lay the foundation for the eerie journey ahead. Henry’s only point of contact is his supervisor Delilah, who is stationed in another watch tower in the distance. As the two communicate via radio, Delilah becomes the only lifeline Henry has to keep him grounded when things get weird.

Firewatch was the first game developed by Campo Santo. The studio is now working on its next project, a first-person adventure game called In the Valley of the Gods. Through a collaboration with indie publisher Good Universe, Firewatch is also being adapted for a film release sometime in the future.
