The Final Fantasy VII Remake, from what we’ve seen thus far during E3 2019, looks absolutely incredible and a true reimagining of one of the amazing games from the beloved franchise. That being said – outside of rumors – it’s been heavily suggested that the upcoming Final Fantasy project would be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Thanks to Xbox Germany, however, it looks like a Final Fantasy VII Remake Xbox One version might also be on the way.
Square Enix, in the past, has opened up about leading the remake into the next generation of gaming and that looks like it will also extend to Xbox. The official Xbox Germany Facebook page looks to have let the proverbial cat out of the bag when they posted an Xbox One ad for the game with the same release date set as the PlayStation 4 version. The posting was quickly taken down, though not before keen-eyed Resetera users grabbed a screenshot:
It’s been a very long road to get to this level of reveals for the highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake, and the E3 trailer earlier this year really showed off why the wait will be worth it to both veterans of the franchise and newcomers to the series. The game is looking to be an incredible homage to the original and honestly, we can’t wait to see even more ahead of its release next year.
Final Fantasy VII Remake makes its official debut on March 3, 2020, exclusively to the PlayStation 4. For even more about the game:
“The first entry in a multi-part saga, delivering a level of depth inconceivable for the original. Mind-blowing story, unforgettable characters, epic battles and technical excellence collide. The world has fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy. In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him.”
