This March, you’ll have a chance to relive not one but two epic Final Fantasy adventures, as Square Enix has announced a release date for the forthcoming PS Vita HD compilation.
According to a recent entry in the PlayStation Blog by Square Enix, the handheld Final Fantasy games will release the same day as the PS3 release, on March 18th, here in the United States. The game will sell for $39.99 and will be Cross-Save compatible with the console release. Unfortunately, it is not cross-buy.
Those who want the ultimate Final Fantasy experience for PS3 can also invest in the recently announced collector’s edition of the game, which is being sold exclusively through Square Enix’s online store. For $79.99, you’ll get the two games, along with a 40 page hardcover artbook, a Blu-Ray disc with the remastered soundtrack and images from the game, and a set of five collectible lithographs featuring well-known scenes from the games.
We’ll have more coverage on both of these games in the months ahead.
