Even Otzdarva is Tired of Seeing Meta Chucky Builds in Dead By Daylight

Don't make Chucky into a snoozefest, please.

The newest chapter in Dead by Daylight brings The Good Guy into the Fog, and while he’s an absolute blast to play, you may already be tired of playing against him. Every encounter I’ve had playing against Chucky has resulted in a horrifying time, and not in a scary way. Even professional Dead by Daylight players like Otzdarva have noticed an increase in “Meta Builds” that drag matches on in the least fun ways possible.

While we have our choices for great Chucky builds, it looks like a particular Meta has already started to form around Chucky, slightly souring his name just days after his release. Thankfully, Otz is here to showcase a few extra builds that give players a chance to switch things up and turn the tables on this, frankly, boring build.

In his video, titled “Don’t be a Chucky Meta Slave!”, Otzdarva showcases a few builds for players that will fundamentally change the way that this Stealth Killer can absolutely command the Trails that players find themselves in. Rather than relying on perks like Pop Goes The Weasel from The Clown, he showcases a variety of different builds to make matches more enjoyable not only for Survivors but for Killers, as well.

Utilizing Chucky’s natural skill set and his adorably terrifying stature to your advantage can make The Good Guy one of the most terrifying Killers in the game. Friends ‘Til The End, paired up with other Perks that help you take down the Obsession as quickly as possible, make each match tense and exciting, rather than worrying about knocking down Generator Progression as much as possible.

I normally partake in a few games of Dead by Daylight with one of my buddies, but lately, we’ve been considering taking a break because of the sheer number of sweaty Good Guys terrorizing every lobby we’ve jumped into. Seeing the same build over and over again can be exhausting, so I’m hoping as Chucky continues to grow over time that, players will start experimenting with their builds to make the matches more intense, rather than an exercise in frustration.
