Premium services on video game consoles seem to be a pretty cool thing as of late, especially HBO GO, which lets us watch Game of Thrones in the office. Yeahhhhh, we’re recreating epic fights!
But speaking of epic stuff, you ever hear of the channel EPIX? It’s an exclusive programming channel that carries movies from Paramount, Lionsgate and MGM. You might’ve seen it on your cable service, but pretty soon, you’ll be able to experience it on your Sony game consoles as well, as EPIX is officially coming to PlayStation 3 and PS Vita this spring.
The service will be available as a free app that you can download onto your game system, but there’s a catch. In order to take advantage of it, you need to be a subscriber through your cable company, but that should be as simple as placing a phone call and saying, “EPIX, bro!” (Or perhaps “Hey, I’d like to subscribe to EPIX”, so the operator doesn’t snicker at you.) It’s similar to HBO Go, so that’s not a big deal. Plus, you can watch Transformers: Dark of the Moon whenever you want.
Now if we can just get The Avengers on it. We’d never get work done…
