Electronic Arts, a company that’s hopped on the next-generation bandwagon with both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, recently unveiled the box art for the upcoming sequel Battlefield 4. If the designs aren’t just placeholders, then we have a pretty good idea of what the official box art for Xbox One and PS4 games will look like.
With Xbox One, it appears that Microsoft is sticking with green, but going with a much darker shade of it than the current bright green boxes it uses now. As for Sony, it looks like it’s fading more into a blue shade for its design rather than the black it’s using for PlayStation 3. (PS Vita boxes, it should be noted, are also colored blue.)
Battlefield 4 is expected to be a huge draw during EA’s press conference and the company will finally unveil plans regarding its most popular feature: multiplayer.
Battlefield 4 is slated to release this holiday for next-gen consoles, as well as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 29th.
