Dragon Fantasy Book provided a nice dose of old-school role-playing action for PlayStation Network fans, whether playing on a PS3 or taking the action on the go with PS Vita. Thankfully, there’s more where that came from. Speaking with Polygon, the development team at Rippon confirmed the sequel. That said, Dragon Fantasy Book 2 will come with online multiplayer.
Through PlayStation Network, players will be able to drop in/out over the course of a quest and play alongside one another in a similar manner to what Square Enix’s Secret of Mana offered back on the SNES in 1993 – where players fight side-by-side. This is bound to be a huge feature, especially if you have friends ready for battle.
We’ll have a closer look at Dragon Fantasy Book 2 in the weeks ahead. In the meantime, check out the original game on PlayStation Network.
