While we could just read through the patch notes page together, let’s talk about two particular notes instead. Most importantly, as detailed in the official Disney Dreamlight Valley news post, we can expect significant improvements to game performance on the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch starting on December 6. That’s right. Steam officially recognized and verified the game, making it fully compatible with the former. Likewise, while the game has been available on the Switch for some time, we can expect fewer issues regarding crashing and inconsistent performance.

With official Steam Deck compatibility and verification from Steam, anyone who plays Disney Dreamlight Valley can now enjoy the game at its full potential from the comfort of this handheld device. The same can be said for the Nintendo Switch, which, despite previous performance issues, will stand alongside the game’s other platforms as a smooth gameplay experience for all. As the game continues its early-access adventures, further optimization updates will likely pop up over time.

With the Missions in Uncharted Space update creating hype during the past few months, everyone can rest assured that they won’t have to hop onto their PCs and other consoles to enjoy it. It’ll now be much easier to sit back, relax and experience the new story addition from the comfort of, well, where ever you choose to play your Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available to play on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation platforms through the official website.
