When Dead or Alive 5 came out last year for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, it successfully brought the series to new heights.  The game also included all the feverish action and physics-heavy “bouncing” that fans have come to expect.  Now things are about to get a little more Ultimate.

Today, Tecmo announced that Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate was in the works for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  The game will feature all the same great content as the original, along with new modes that were exclusive to the PS Vita version, as well as new fighting areas and combatants.  Momiji, the gorgeous warrior from the Ninja Gaiden series, will make her fighting debut, and more characters from Sega’s Virtua Fighter universe could be considered as well.

“Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate is a great addition to our franchise,” said Yosuke Hayashi, the leader of the developers behind the game, Team Ninja.  “The game has a lot to offer and we’re excited that our fans will have the opportunity to enjoy an experience that delivers on our signature high energy fighting entertainment.”
