CD Projekt Red Outline the Contents of Patch 1.3

Patch 1.3 for Cyberpunk 2077 is in development, with CD Projekt Red feeling confident enough to share details on some of the things that’ll be included in the patch.

The information was shared through a blog post on the game’s official website and is formatted like a news report by N54 News and Night City host Gillean Jordan.

The first item mentioned in the post centers around a new minimap system software update. Like the other items mentioned in the post, it has its own news report video (seen above).

“With the new minimap system software update you are able to see more and navigate better. Drive fast, drive safe,” explained Andrzej, Programmer at CD Projekt Red.

The next fix mentioned in the post opens with an introduction on the establishment Clouds and improvements made to the Matching Procedure. It then goes on to share information on the work happening on CD Projekt Red’s end.

“It was one of my first tasks when I moved to this project and I was digging into code for a long time because I wanted to understand our UI videos system, and at the end I realized that the problem is in video setup. Value for video time was shorter than the video sequence. This way, players will better understand the decision they are making in this story sequence,” says Natalia, UI Programmer at CD Projekt Red.

Finally, the post ends by mentioning that players will have more freedom in the future when it comes to experimenting with builds and perk placement safely.

“For our players, this feature will mean safer experimentation with builds. It is easily accessible and affordable for everyone, so there is no need to hesitate while investing in particular perks,” explained Katarina, Gameplay Designer at CD Projekt Red.

For those itching to know more about Patch 1.3 outside of the three things mentioned in the post shared by CD Projekt Red today, CD Projekt Red assures that a full list of changes is coming soon.

They also add that if you want to hear more, you can join REDstreams and various experts talk about what’s new in Night City on CD Projekt Red’s Twitch channel tomorrow, August 17, at 18:00 (CEST).

After reviewing the information provided by CD Projekt Red today on Patch 1.3, what are your thoughts? Are you happy about the fixes mentioned in the post? Do you plan to check out the stream tomorrow on CD Projekt Red’s Twitch channel?
