A report from the NPD Group has indicated that, even though it was released at the tail end of the month, 2K Games' long-awaited follow-up had no problem dominating sales numbers.  Early reports are that at least over 800,000 copies of the game shifted at that during March, making it a bonafide success amongst the video gaming community.  Other games that made the top ten include Tomb Raider, Gears of War: Judgment and God of War: Ascension.

In other BioShock-related news, isn't it about time you sent Booker DeWitt a birthday card?  That's right, according to in-game materials printed on his birth certificate, today is the birthday of BioShock's main hero.  People have been sending out greetings all over and considering the nature of the game (and the surprises that await within) they're certainly due.

Happy birthday, Booker.  We'd make you a cake but something tells us you'd tear it apart with the Skyhook anyway.

BioShock Infinite is available now for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
