Doug Tennapel, creator of The Neverhood franchise, has been moving right along with his latest project, a KickStarter-funded game called Armikrog. While it’s continuing to lumber its way towards the proposed $900,000 goal – it’s currently sitting just under $700,000 with three days left – a new “stretch goal” has been added as an incentive.
A new update explains why the stretch goal was added. “As you may have heard, Nintendo recently contacted us to discuss the possibility of releasing Armikrog on the Wii U. Our first thought was, ‘I wonder if anyone would want to play Armikrog on the Wii U?’ Well, we think YES!!!”
The stretch goal to make this version is $950,000 – just $50,000 over the initial goal – and to add further incentive, early sketches of how the game would work with the console have appeared showing the involvement between the player and GamePad. You can see for yourself on the official Armikrog Kickstarter page.
We certainly wish Tennapel and his team at Pencil Test Studios the best of luck getting the project funded.
