Season 8 also features an obliterated King’s Canyon. You can check out the action-packed trailer below.

Between the announcer, the camera edits, and the old font work, this trailer really evoked old school action movie trailers’ feelings. The new season also brings the lever-action 30-30 Repeater to the fight.

Season 8 of Apex Legends drops-in on February 2, so there’s still some time to catch up and acclimate to the game before the next season comes in.

Save up those credits so you can buy Fuse when he lands with the new season.

If you’re curious about what’s been going on with Apex Legends’ story, the official website has some information about how we got to this point.

“Fuse’s debut ended with an act of sabotage that has blown up parts of King’s Canyon and brought down a massive gunship. As it fell from the sky, it took an entire mountainside with it, so the ship’s final resting spot has opened up a large, previously unplayable portion of the map. The lingering smoke can be seen clear across Kings Canyon and the resulting fuel leak has contaminated and visually altered most of the area’s water supply. Now ECHO (Ecological Cleanup and Hazard Outreach) has moved in to help clean up the mess.”

The website also goes into some more changes happening to King’s Canyon in Season 8. You can check it out here.
