This list will rank the best Anime Last Stand units in tiers from the absolutely necessary at S-tier to the instant-sell units at D-tier. The units in the middle tiers can have their uses, like farming or playing support, but you should aim to evolve your units into the best possible versions and grab the ones at the top when you can.

S-Tier

The S-tier are the best of the best and players should have at least one or two for the hardest of waves. Pride (The One) is one of the best with his passive that gives the team increased damage just by being equipped to the first slot. Meanwhile, Boku (Mastered Instinct) has a Kamehameha ultimate ability that can waste almost everything in front of it.

  • 7th Company Captain (Former)
  • Ancient Vampire (Greatest High)
  • Ancient Vampire (Over Heaven)
  • Black Swordsmen (Berserk)
  • Boku (Mastered Instinct)
  • Braly (LSSJ)
  • Captain Commander (Kai)
  • Division Vice Captain (Unleashed)
  • Fused Kai (Full Power)
  • Gremmy (Unleashed)
  • Kenpunchi (Kai)
  • Killer (Bite the Dust)
  • Pride (The One)
  • Riku (Kai)
  • Shadow
  • Sunwoo (Winter)
  • Supreme One
  • Surgeon of Death
  • Quincy King (Awakened)
  • Ulmiorra (Segunda)

A-Tier

The A-tier is a step down from the very best but can fill out the team with hard hitters and units with special abilities. For example, Poche (Made in Heaven) can reset all units’ abilities cooldowns and pushes back enemies and the passive for Wukong (Supreme God) gives increased damage-over-time to the entire team alongside its bleed and bolt damage. The True Cursed King can also give every unit increased range by being equipped to the first team slot.

  • Almighty Ninja (Paths)
  • Best Waifu
  • Black Swordsmen (Evolved)
  • Diabolo (Awakened)
  • Flame Breather (Demonic)
  • Flame Swordsman
  • Georno (Pre Requiem)
  • Gray (Full Power)
  • Gyzo
  • Ichiban (Kai)
  • Johnny (Tusk 4)
  • King of Heroes (Sword of Rupture)

  • Slime (Devil Lord)
  • The True Cursed King
  • Turbo
  • Unleashed Umbral Spirit
  • Valentine
  • Wukong (Supreme God)

B-Tier

The B-tier units do not contain the raw power to be higher on the list, but provide certain abilities that give them a spot on the team. Ichiko (Moonless Sky) is one of the cheapest high-rarity units to place and can buff the units surrounding it. Red Pirate is extremely versatile by dealing bleed, poison, and stun damage throughout the game.

  • 1st Division Captain (Unleashed)
  • Aisen (Muken)
  • Benji (Devilman)
  • Dragon Princess (Dragonoid)
  • Fear (Nightmare)
  • Fused Warrior (Blue)

  • Turbo (Depressed)
  • Urahana
  • Voldera (Dragon Rage)
  • Wood Ninja

C-Tier

The units in the C-tier are far from the best units to have but can serve very specific strategies. For example, Green Esper has the Slow passive that can slow down waves with her area-of-effect tornados. Ghostly Girl (Negative) can also do the same with the additional effect of stunning all enemies for eight seconds, though it has a 20-second cooldown.

  • Aisen (Post-Orb)
  • Bobek (Planet Destroyer)
  • Burning Hero (Unleashed)
  • Chand (Gigante)
  • Fortune Master (Jackpot)
  • Ghostly Girl (Negative)
  • Green Esper
  • Hae
  • Harlequin (Fairy King)
  • Heavenly Chad
  • Itodari (Enraged)

  • Kirinji (Solar Bath)
  • Lightning Hunter (Godspeed)
  • Ninel (Spirit)
  • Red Admiral (War)
  • Strongest Sorcerer (Unsealed)
  • Wind Prince (Spirit)
  • Wrath (Demon Prince)
  • Zuffy

D-Tier

While these units are not the best that players can use to clear high-level waves, some have the purpose of being farm units. These farm units solely exist during the waves to raise the cash necessary to buy and upgrade more units. Both Businessman Yojin and Idol (Pop-Star!) can raise over $40,000 per wave fully upgraded, while Demon Child (Unleashed) can get over $60,000 per wave fully upgraded.

  • Aisen (Final Orb)
  • Animated Crow
  • Baldy (Serious)
  • Beast
