5 Console Exclusives that Deserve PC Releases in 2024

Bring out your ports.

As more developers start to focus on accessibility, the concept of console exclusives is becoming redundant. However, there are still plenty of titles that are only available on the consoles, and it’s about time they make their way into the PC space. Here are our five picks for console exclusives that deserve a PC release in 2024.

5 Best Console Exclusives that Deserve a PC Port in 2024

Bloodborne

After all the praise it’s received, it’s a shame that Bloodborne hasn’t been played by a large number of FromSoftware fans to this day. This is largely because there’s no PS5 or PC version for this amazing title, which has only been available on PS5 since its release. While there’s no harm in playing it on the next-gen platforms, the graphics sometimes do look dated. A PC port would not only make it available to millions of PC gamers, but it could also double down as the PS5 version.

MLB The Show 24

This could be The Show series as a whole, but it still feels strange that the best baseball simulator is only available on consoles. Interestingly enough, the latest iteration is even available on the Nintendo Switch, but the developers have skipped the PC platform altogether. It’s somewhat understandable, as this game requires the use of controllers, but so does every other sports game on the market. Moreover, using a controller on PC has become a very common practice, so a PC port shouldn’t be an issue at all.

Gran Turismo 7

GT7 is certainly one of the better racing games on the market but, unfortunately, it’s only available on PlayStation consoles. Understandably, Sony wants it to be a PlayStation console exclusive, but lately, several former exclusives have been made available on PC. Gran Turismo 7 was released in the spring of 2022, so a PC port would only generate new interest in the iconic racing franchise.

God of War Ragnarok

The most obvious name on this list, and one of the more realistic ones as well. After all, 2018’s God of War did eventually get a PC Port, which has done remarkably well since its launch. It’s almost certain that Ragnarok, following its immense success as a PlayStation console exclusive, will eventually make it to PCs. 2024 will be a great year, but it’s unlikely that Sony will push the timeline to that extent.

Foamstars

It’s hard to understand why Square Enix’s 4v4 messy shooter isn’t already available on PC. Helldivers 2 became a massive success due to the simple fact that PlayStation went with a PC and console release simultaneously. Something similar could have easily happened with Square Enix’s latest offering, and it’s hard to deny that there’s potential. As of writing, there are no plans for release on PC and other consoles, but Foamstars could certainly do well if it’s made available on more platforms.

While we’re talking about 2024, check out five games that deserve a second chance this year.
