Let’s talk about the Gullnamar region of Svartalfheim in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok.

At the start of the expansion’s campaign, you won’t be able to open the world map yet. You’ll have to progress further until the two dwarves, Sigrun and Halstein, lead you to Jordber Shelter. This will be your main hub, where you’ll find vendors, including Reda of the Thousand Eyes. After talking to an  NPC named Brunn, the rest of the game opens up, allowing you to explore at your leisure.

There are a couple of interesting fast travel locations nearby. Just southeast of Jordber Shelter across the river, there’s a Jotun Blight in the middle of four towering statues.

This is like the fog that slows you down in corrupted or haunted areas in the base game. You can just ignore that and climb one of the statues to tag the sync point.

Another is further south in the city of Uldar. No, there won’t be a World of Warcraft raid here, but it’s heavily defended by dozens of hostiles. There’s also a lot of loot that you can pick up. The fast travel point is on the cliffs above the gargantuan gates.

All right, let’s head to the next part of our guide to discuss the Svaladal region.
