God of War (2018) On PlayStation 5 Receiving 60 FPS & 4K Patch Tomorrow

“Coming to you tomorrow on February 2nd, we will be releasing a free patch that replaces the current video graphics mode option with a new default setting that will offer the best of both performance and resolution to our PlayStation 5 players!”

This update includes a smooth 60 frames per second standard across the board. It will also feature 4K checkerboard resolution (if your television is 4K capable). It will also feature 2160p as an option as well.

Either way, God of War will run and look better on the PlayStation 5. While not a major change to the game, it’s nice to see Sony putting in some work to help enhance older exclusive titles for PlayStation 5 owners.

If you haven’t played God of War or are looking to replay it, don’t forget it’s part of the PlayStation plus collection which you get as a benefit of owning PlayStation Plus.

This is a great way to experience the game at no additional cost if you’re already subscribed.

If you don’t want to use the enhanced features included in tomorrow’s patch, there will be an “Original performance Mode,” which will put the game back to 30 frames per second.
