Since the start of Fortnite Season 3, the developers at Epic have been steadily rolling out updates that include new outfits, cosmetic items, and weapons for Fortnite Battle Royale. One such weapon is the Hunting Rifle, which is one of the newest weapons to hit Fortnite’s popular Battle Royale mode. Due to a last-minute design flaw, Epic has decided to delay the launch of the highly-anticipated Jetpack and have released the Hunting Rifle instead. This guide will cover what you need to know about the Hunting Rifle in Battle Royale, including its stats and capabilities.
Fortnite Battle Royale – Hunting Rifle Guide
In Fortnite, players can get their hands on the Hunting Rifle while playing the PvE game mode, Save the World. As of Fortnite Patch 3.1.0, the Hunting Rifle can now be found in Battle Royale as well, with a few minor adjustments.
The Hunting Rifle in Fortnite Battle Royale is a semi-automatic sniper rifle that does not come with a scope. Unlike its Save the World counterpart, the Hunting Rifle in Battle Royale uses Heavy Bullets rather than Medium Bullets. Players can find the Hunting Rifle on the ground as floor loot, as well as inside hidden treasure chests.
The Battle Royale version comes in both Uncommon and Rare varieties, making it relatively easy to find compared to Epic or Legendary weapons. The Hunting Rifle in Battle Royale uses the same model and design as that of its Save the World equivalent, so if you’re familiar with this weapon in PvE, then it should be easy to pick up and use in Fortnite Battle Royale.
The Uncommon Hunting Rifle has a DPS of about 68.8 and Damage output of 86, while the Rare version is a bit higher at 72 DPS and 90 Damage. Each have a fire rate of 0.8, though the reload time of the Uncommon version is just slightly higher at 1.9 over the Rare Hunting Rifle’s 1.8 reload.
The Hunting Rifle in Fortnite Battle Royale will most likely be found within chests or spawned as ground loot. We’ll be sure to update you here once we know more about the rarity and stats of the Hunting Rifle coming to Battle Royale.
