Set during World War 2, Battlefield V is looking to up the ante even more for DICE’s popular first-person shooter series, including an all new battle royale game mode, which will take place on the biggest map ever created for the Battlefield series. A new trailer that released today details the different gamemodes, as well as more information about Battlefield V’s battle roylae mode, which is aptly named Firestorm.
Unlike most of your battle royale games, which offer solo, duos and squad experiences, Firestorm will consist solely of squads of four, giving a total of 64 players a chance to hash it out on a massive sandbox map. You can check out the trailer for yourself above, which details the different modes as well as showcases a bit more about Firestorm.
The Battlefield V beta kicks off on September 6, just a few short days from now, though some players who received keys from Nvidia’s Geforce Experience program can dive into it as early as today. If you haven't been keeping up with the news, then you might not have heard, but Battlefield V has been delayed until November, giving the developers another full month to work on the game. You can learn more about how to join the Battlefield V beta by checking out our article on that. The game isn’t nearly finished just yet, so keep in mind the beta content is still liable to change as the developers improve things from the feedback they receive.
