Does the Dead Space Remake Have Photo Mode? – Answered

Dead Space Remake is a modern AAA game on multiple platforms, and as such, there are several different things you should come to expect. This includes several quality settings, remappable keybinds, and other settings to fine-tune your experience. This includes quality-of-life features, though one particular feature is a little up in the air. Here’s whether Dead Space Remake has a photo mode.

Is There a Photo Mode in Dead Space Remake?

We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but no, Dead Space Remake doesn’t feature a photo mode of any sort. We had a look through all of the individual settings and menus and sadly saw no photo mode anywhere. While this is unfortunate, there are several things that we can be thankful for. For one, if you’re willing to use other methods of taking photos, there’s almost no HUD making pictures still look solid even if you can’t choose a location as easily. Dead Space is also an incredibly dark game, meaning you might have a tough time getting good photos anyways.

On top of all this, this doesn’t mean Dead Space Remake will never get a photo mode. Many games in the past have been released without a photo mode, though got one after fans requested it down the line. The same could easily happen for Dead Space Remake, provided enough fans ask for it. As of writing, the team hasn’t said anything concrete on the subject, so don’t take that as a guarantee.

In the meantime, you can at least appreciate the beauty of the game’s many textures on your own. It’s a massive upgrade from the first game, which already looked awesome for its time. This is thanks to not just texture detail improvements, but severe lighting upgrades as well. Alongside the fun of shooting necromorphs, the game is a sight to behold.
