One aspect of new events in Pokemon GO that tends to take a backseat is a new rotation of Field Research Tasks complete with their own themed rewards. Twinkling Fantasy promises plenty of tasks that include encounters with some fan favorite Dragon and Fairy-type Pokemon.
These types of tasks are never required, but they are an easy source for good stats on catches, and they are obtained by simply spinning PokeStops. Considering the cooldown on these Field Research tasks resets each day as well, there’s no point in missing out. Pokemon GO – All Twinkling Fantasy Field Research Tasks & Rewards
Six new Field Research Tasks have been added with the first major event of 2023. When you spin PokeStop, you’ll receive one of the six tasks in a random manner, but there is one guarantee, and that is the reward encounter that you’ll get with each. You can find all of them listed below with the rewards in Pokemon GO.
Twinkling Fantasy Field Research Tasks & Rewards:
- Catch 5 Pokemon – Dedenne Encounter
- Catch 5 Fairy-type Pokemon – Bagon Encounter
- Catch 30 Pokemon – Goomy Encounter
- Make 3 Nice Throws – Dratini Encounter
- Make 3 Great Throws – Clefairy Encounter
- Win 3 Raids – Goomy Encounter

Considering there are no Special or Timed Research challenges during the Twinkling Fantasy event, these tasks are your best chance at getting a good encounter or some decent IV stat lines. Of course, the wild spawns will contain some fantastic finds as well, but there is a lot more luck involved, and far more searching in general. Be prepared to catch handfuls of Fairy or Dragon-types in your search. Don’t forget that reward encounters also yield higher odds for a shiny encounter in Pokemon GO.
